Victorian House
We chose Plas Dinam because it is a family home first and a venue second. It has been standing since 1873 and has thirty-eight rooms of Victorian history to explore. There are no rigid rules here, just a flexible, "Old World" atmosphere that we fell for immediately.
Where the Cambrian mountains meet the Severn valley.
4,000-Acre Estate
Thirteen acres of private grounds surround the house, where formal lawns and ancient "Champion" trees eventually fall away to the untamed mountains. From the forty-year-old wildflower meadow to the hidden woodland, it is a preserved corner of Wales that has been held for five generations.
Low-intensity farming and a repair-and-reuse philosophy.
Sustainable Soul
Plas Dinam charmed us because it defies throwaway culture. It runs on timber cut from its own woods and relies on local hands to fix, not replace. It is a choice to keep resources in the valley and value the things that are built to last over the things that are used once.

The dress code is Garden Party Cocktail. As we’ll be moving between the house and gardens, from woodland and across meadows, please prioritise block heels or dressy flats and bring warm layers for the Welsh evening. There will be ample place to hang them immediately beside the stables, where we will be spending the evening.

For further information regarding the wedding, we have provided a dedicated page detailing essential logistics and local amenities. This includes transport information covering local taxi services and rail stations, alongside the locations of the nearest pharmacies and fuel stations for those traveling to the area. You will also find a more detailed breakdown of the dress code (although we cannot stress enough, how much we don’t want people buying something specifically for the event, unless they want to!)
As the ceremony will hopefully take place outdoors in the meadows and woodland (weather permitting), we have included specific recommendations on footwear and fabrics to ensure you are comfortable throughout the day. We have also included a small selection of local cafes and bistros for any time spent in the area before, after or away from the wedding festivities.

By Road
Plas Dinam is situated on the main A470. The main entrance to Plas Dinam is directly off the main road 200m outside Llandinam. From the north it is on your left before the village, from the south it is on your right after the village. There is a big stone wall and a black and white lodge house at the entrance to the drive and it is opposite a warning sign with a speed camera sign below it. Follow satnav to SY17 5DQ (not SY17 5DG).
By Rail
Transfers can be arranged from Caersws Station, which is 2 miles from Plas Dinam. Caersws has direct trains from Birmingham, Shrewsbury and Wolverhampton. Approximate travel time from London is 3 1/2 hrs with one change. Approximate travel time from Bristol/Cardiff is 2hrs 50 with 1 change. Approximate travel time form Manchester is 2 hrs 45 mins with 1 change.
